LLF Kids for Kids

LLF encourages and provides opportunities for the next generation of philanthropists! Check out which of our programs are available to younger age groups.

Tiny Tunes | Minimum age: Ages 10-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Tiny Tunes is a program in which we give children an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of music at the YWCA Miami. Through hands on learning of instruments, stage performance, writing, audio engineering, and creating music videos.
Schedule: Mondays 4:00-5:30 PM

Craft Night | Minimum age: 10 years old.
Craft Night volunteers interact with the Children’s Home Society of Florida’s children in a variety of activities including arts & crafts, sing-a-longs, group games, and more.
Schedule: Thursdays 6:00-8:00 PM.

Mindful Hour |Minimum age (Chapman Partnership): 15 years old.
Minimum age (Miami Bridge): Ages 10-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Mindful Hour welcomes teens and adults to find a moment of peace and reorient themselves while learning practical de-stressing techniques. Volunteers can help the Chapman Partnership residents and engage in the class.
Schedule: Thursdays 4:00-5:00 PM and Wednesdays 7:30-8:30 PM.

Move and Groove | Minimum age: 15 years old.
Move and Groove program is a hip-hop inspired dance class to provide a space for self-expression for children of all ages while encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers will assist in dance classes at the Chapman Partnership and ensure the children learn the routines.
Schedule: Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 PM.

Beauty All Around | Minimum age: Ages 10-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Beauty All Around provides a variety of therapeutic activities to Lotus House mothers and children focused on inner & outer beauty and wellness. Volunteers participate in make up sessions, yoga, gardening, arts & crafts, personal betterment, game nights and more.
Schedule: 3rd Saturday of the month 1:00-2:00 PM.

Activity Hour | Minimum age: 15 years old.
Activity Hour incorporates games, role-playing, interactive activities, and arts and crafts to teach self-development and build self-esteem and confidence along the way. Volunteers build relationships with the youth while participating in the planned activities at the Chapman Parternship.
Schedule: Tuesdays 6:15-7:30 PM.

Adopt A Meal | Minimum age: Ages 10-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Adopt A Meal provides dinners to the families of hospitalized children at the Ronald McDonald House of South Florida. Volunteers spend time preparing and distributing meals, entertaining attendees, and participating in activities with children.
Schedule: 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month 6:00-8:00 PM.

Fit Club | Minimum age: Ages 10-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Fit Club is a fitness boot camp for the youth designed to provide a space where trained individuals can teach the benefits and importance of exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers will assist, participate and encourage youth in the classes organized by the Miami Bridge Shelter.
Schedule: Once a month.

Adopt A Floor | Minimum age: 15 years old.
Adopt-A-Floor program visits the Holtz Children’s Hospital’s 6thfloor to provide a variety of games and entertainment to the young patients. Volunteer activities include arts & crafts, board games, themed parties, music, and assisting entertainers.
Schedule: 1st Saturday of the month 2:00-4:00 PM and 3rd Wednesday of the month 6:00-8:00 PM.

Story Hour | Minimum age: 15 years old.
Story Hour entertains and educates the children at the Chapman Partnership with group reading and arts & crafts activities.
Schedule: Tuesdays 6:15-7:30 PM.

    Charlie Venturi is one of the few South Beach natives you will ever meet. He was born at Mount Sinai Hospital and currently resides in Bay Harbor. Charlie attended Emory University with Aaron Resnick and works as the managing director of LIVE IT Productions International. Charlie’s boutique event firm specializes in LIVE musical event production all over the world.
