She told us about the importance of community relationships and the power of exemplary mentorship. Story Hour at Chapman Partnership for the Homeless
This Tuesday we had a wonderful time at Chapman Partnership reading with the kids. A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers Kiara, Gintare, Aaron, and Heather!
The kids at Story Hour love meeting new people, and the contributions from volunteers with diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise help create an inspirational and nurturing program for the children. Activity Hour at The Motivational Edge
This past Wednesday, Warrior Focus Foundation taught the kids at Motivational Edge the importance of fitness as a form of self-love. Christian spoke to the kids about the power we have to change our patterns and behavior to be happier and healthier as they worked on some handstands. At Little Lighthouse, we seek to equip children with the confidence they need to build a successful and healthy future. Warrior Focus Foundation aids in furthering this mission at Motivational Edge with their constant reinforcement of honesty, work ethic, and their advocacy for self-determination.
Do Good Feel Good Live-Fit Club with Model/Actress Sage Nicole
On Monday we spoke to Saje Nicole about her journey and how she became the first hatian woman on the cover of Sport Illustrated Swim Issue. Starting out in the medical field, her courage to defy expectations and bet on herself to embark on her current journey is inspiring. Saje is passionate about using her platform to give back and honor her hatian roots. As we sweated through our workout, her determination in all she does shone through. We were so happy to have her share her joy with our community on DGFG Live!

Preparing for Back to School
We have been preparing for our “Back to School” program on August 6th! As we work with all of our partners to ensure every child has the necessary school supplies to have an educational school year, you can participate in this event by volunteering and/or sponsoring a child.
Each year, underserved children in South Florida go back to school without the necessary supplies. All the funds raised will be used to purchase school supplies for students in need from LLF Partner Facilities. This year, our goal is to provide school supplies to over 2,000 students from LLF’s Partner Facilities, including Excel Kids Academy, Brent Wright Leadership Academy, Breakthrough Miami, The Motivational Edge, Touching Miami with Love, Miami Children’s Initiative, Easterseals, Big Dreams for Kids, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, and iTech.

LLF x Global Empowerment Mission
