For this Monday’s #DGFG live, we kicked it off with our Move and Groove program! We had our very own first lady of LLF, Missy Babicka lead us through a move and groove routine. Missy’s workout consisted of an easy and effective kid’s workout with fun dance moves. She incorporated single hops, moving around in circles and grooving all while getting a quick work out. Jonathan Babicka and Layla Babicka join in on the fun! This kid friendly dance workout consists of 4 rounds, so be ready to sweat!

Story Hour #VolunteersWithAVoice with DJ Irie

For this segment of Story Hour #VolunteersWithAVoice, we had DJ Irie, Founder of the Irie Foundation reading Ordinary Mary’s Extraordinary Deed by Emily Pearson.
This segment was Irie’s second appearance on DGFG Live, appearing first on one of our Move & Groove segments earlier this year. Irie came on once again with a reading of a children’s book about kindness. He discussed the importance of sharing these stories with children and also told us a bit about the values and lessons of kindness he was taught growing up.
In addition to his work in the community, DJ Irie is an international sensation with a contagious enthusiasm and larger-than-life personality. While he’s certainly an authority on electrifying any party, the Irie Music brainchild is no ordinary DJ. Currently serving as the official DJ of Carnival Cruise Lines, Irie’s partnerships range among several “Who’s Who” of blue-chip companies and brands, including the 3-time NBA World Champion Miami HEAT and superstar Jamie Foxx. The St. Croix native is also the man behind Irie Music, Corp., co-owner of Loose Anchor Clothing Co., Pucci’s Pizza and Venture Projects, LLC venture capital. Story Hour #VolunteersWithAVoice with Udonis Haslem

For our second #VolunteersWithAVoice Story Hour this week, we had Miami Heat legend and active philanthropist, Udonis Haslem! He read Everybody’s Welcome by Patricia Hagarty.
Udonis Haslem is the Power Forward and Captain for the superstar Miami Heat basketball team! He has been in the NBA for 17 seasons and is a 3-time champion for the Miami Heat. Udonis is also a community activist and philanthropist, with his own non-profit organization “Udonis Haslem Foundation”. The Udonis Haslem Foundation has a variety of programs, such as tutoring, free basketball clinics, etiquette classes, and honor roll awards to enable students to reach their full personal and educational potential.
Udonis read Everybody’s Welcome by Patricia Hagarty. The story has a sweet message for young listeners about kindness, empathy, and charity. Make sure to watch our full IGTV story to listen to Udonis read the whole story!

Fit Club with Mitch Eli

For the #DGFG Live Fit Club workout of the week we had personal trainer and fitness enthusiast, Mitch Eli, lead us through a kid friendly full body workout!
Mitch is a facial stretching and personal trainer that works his clients to their best potential. He goes by the saying “changing lives one sweat a time” which emphasizes his passion for changing others’ lives through fitness. Mitch motivates his clients through social media and has his audience follow along with their journey. He emphasizes that it’s never how we begin our fitness journey, it’s how consistent we remain. He makes sure to keep everyone uplifted and inspired on social media and never stop short of your goals.

Warm up
- Jumping jacks 15 reps
- Straight leg kicks 15 reps
- Butt kicks standing in place 15 reps
- Knee grabs ( pull knee towards chest) 10 reps
- Skater jumps 15 reps
- Groiners 15 reps
- Regular squat (hands behind head) 15 reps
- Jump squats ( hands over head) 15 reps
- Alternating lunges (15 reps) rest for one min
Workout
- Mountain climbers 20 reps
- Mountain climber into push ups 20 reps
- Renegades 20 reps
- Shoulder taps 20 reps
- Toe touches while in push up position 20 reps
- Half burpees 10 reps
- Full burpees 10 reps
- Rest and rise on your feet (30 secs)
On your feet
- Forward and backwards lunges (right leg will lunge forward and same leg will then lunge backwards that’s one rep.) 5 reps each leg 10 in total
- Quarter squats 10 reps
- Regular squats 10 reps
- Deep squats 10 reps
- Side lunges 10 reps each leg
- Good mornings ( hands behind head) 10 reps
- High knees (20 reps)
- Single leg burpees 10 reps each leg
- For abdominals on your back,
- Bicycle kicks 20 reps

- Reverse crunches 20 reps
