Paola is a second year graduate student at the California State University, Los Angeles. She is currently studying Film, Television, and Media Studies. She started interning at the Little Lighthouse in August and has been helping grow and post on our social media platforms ever since. She recently started a show on her instagram titled “Chismeando con Lola ” where she brings guests on to learn more about them and their stories in their industry. The idea came from all the women who have been supporting her in the process, she believes that everyone had a story and it is great to listen and learn from one another. In her future she hopes to have her own talk show to showcase all the wonderful LatinX talent that is out there.
Thank you again to Paola Delgado for sharing her TikTok Tips with us. You can follow her on instagram @_hola_lolaa_!

For this Wednesday’s Craft Night segment we welcomed Jalynn McDuffy and Xavier Gottlieb-Young members of The Children’s Trust Youth Advisory Committee. They both discussed their experiences as part of the YAC as well as their personal projects and how they impact our community!.
Jalynn is only 18 and part of The Children’s Trust YAC South, her project titled Hearts for Art, aims to teach students in low income areas about art. In schools many of the time art programs are the ones who are first to be cut off and that is why Jalynn has decided to take the initiative to create a better Miami through art. Xavier is part of The Children’s Trust YAC Central. Xavier’s project is to bring people together by learning how to effectively communicate their differences. When it comes to communication it is very important to listen to both sides of the story and find a common ground that is going to work well for all. All of the projects in The Children’s Trust are based on the YAC’s three pillars which are Leadership, Service, and Advocacy.
Thank you again to Jalynn McDuffy and Xavier Gottlieb-Young for sharing your projects and spending some time with us!
