We started the week with DGFG Live, #VolunteersWithAVoice Story Hour with Donor Relations Officer at Chapman Partnership Leadership, Cleopatra Bauduy. The Chapman Partnership is one of LLF’s partner facilities where we host our programs for volunteers to work with children. Cleopatra is a first-generation Haitian-American. She is an experienced Fundraiser/Event Planner with a history of working in the events services and financial industry. Cleopatra graduated from Hofstra University.
She joined us for a reading of Kindness is a Kite String by Michelle Schaub, the book carries the key message of kindness as well as how to teach similes and metaphors supported by the many advocates of positive parenting solutions. It’ll sit comfortably on your shelf alongside other books that focus on the power of kindness. We had a conversation about adapting to life during the pandemic and Cleopatra described the lockdown as if there was a pause to our otherwise busy lives.
