Armed with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Savannah State University; a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix; almost two decades of experience in the field of accounting and business management for both corporate and non-profit entities; as well as unbridled drive, dedication and passion, Tina is well equipped to impact her community for good.
As the Executive Director of the Overtown Youth Center (OYC), she is in the trenches daily, fighting to help her students and parents succeed.

Angela Birdman was born in Missouri and has lived in Miami for more than 20 years. She is one of Miami’s most prominent philanthropic figures. Spearheading causes near and dear to her heart, like her personal event—Walk in Style for the Animals—benefiting the Humane Society of Greater Miami, Brunch for the Animals (also benefiting the Humane Society), the National YoungArts Foundation and more, Birdman is always busy giving back to others. She has a passion for animals and the arts and spends her time hosting charity events or attending events to support other causes in the city. She is married to developer Louis Birdman who’s currently finalizing the One Thousand Museum Residences—a masterpiece crafted by Zaha Hadid Architects. Aside from her philanthropic passions, Angela is also a major foodie—you can catch her around the city trying out the new restaurant openings and frequenting some of her favorites throughout the year.
Angela Birdman read Hooray for Hat by Brian Won. This book tells the story of an Elephant who is able to cheer up his friends with his new hat.
