This Tuesday’s Do Good Feel Good Live was kicked off with nothing better than our Adopt a Meal Program. Our special guest for the day was LLF’s First Lady, Missy Babicka aka @BeautyBodyBaby with surprise guest Layla Babicka, daughter and assistant. It was the perfect mommy and daughter combination to bring in some holiday cooking. The recipe of choice was a delicious and healthy Cauliflower Fried Rice. Missy suggested cooking a choice of protein on the side choosing an organic sausage that can be found at Publix. Missy and Layla prepared the cauliflower rice on a separate pan. Missy also used healthy alternatives to substitute for soy sauce and olive oil. Ingredients are listed below but you can catch the full video on our IGTV and follow along as the mommy and daughter duo collaborate to create this delicious recipe.
Ingredients:
- Premade Cauliflower rice with veggies
- Organic sausage
- Sesame oil
- Dried turmeric powder
- Amino Acids
Instructions:
- Heat two pans at a medium temperature.
- In one pan prep with sesame oil and add turmeric powder.
- In the same pan, add cauliflower rice.
- In the separate pan, add sausage to cook.
- Stir rice as it starts to brown and add amino acids for taste.
- When sausage is fully cooked add to cauliflower rice.
- Stir and taste to see if more amino acids need to be added.
- Plate and enjoy!

Story Hour #VolunteersWithAVoice with Sahar Biniaz
Wednesday, December 16th, 2020

This Wednesday for our #VolunteersWithAVoice Story Hour Presented @Its4TheKids we had Sahar Biniaz, Miss Universe Canada! She read She Is by Mandie Frey.
Before becoming the beautiful pageant star we know her as, Sahar Biniaz actually had a tough time growing up. She had trouble being accepted in her school years, but she wanted to prove to herself that she isn’t what any bully told her. Sahar Biniaz won her Miss Universe Canada title back in 2012. She had aspirations to compete for the Miss Universe title, however she was injured right before the pageant. Sahar decided she still wanted to work and do all that a regular Miss Universe does, and has been doing so ever since! She has gone to multiple countries to work with ambassadors there and get to help the community.
Sahar read She Is by Mandie Frey, which is written by a close family friend of hers! She Is about a mother-daughter relationship and the importance of raising strong young girls. The message of the book is important to share with kids and help them feel confident in being strong and independent (with a bit of help from mom!)
Thank you again to Sahar and to @Its4TheKids for your support in #VolunteersWithAVoice!
Make sure to tune in for more segments, Monday-Thursday @LLFoundation at 3PM!
