On Saturday December 15th, The Little Lighthouse Foundation “LLF” will be distributing thousands of presents to children and their families from partner facilities. Donations are essential to achieving our goal of gifting $10,000 worth in toys. LLF will also be collecting toys, drop off locations will be set up all around South Florida by LLF community partners across Miami- Date and Broward Counties. Additional toys were be collected at The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s Holiday Party and Toy Drive the evening before.
Last year on Saturday December 15th, over 150 volunteers distributed thousands of presents to over 500 children and their families from Children’s Home Society (Broward), Miami Children’s Initiative, Lotus House, Miami Bridge, YWCA Miami, Chapman Partnership, Ayuda, Overtown Youth Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Special Olympics Florida.
Children and families invited to participate were able to enjoy the Miami Children’s Museum free of charge, then join LLF volunteers in the auditorium to pick a toy. After getting their toys children and families enjoyed a Holiday Party in the museum courtyard filled with music by Girls Make Beats, dancing with Miami’s Dance Tech dance troupe, food sponsored by Subway, sparkling water from LaCroix and more!
A special thank you to our friends at Hasbro for donating hundreds of toys!
