The Chapman Partnership houses homeless families with children, who are actively seeking employment, for up to 90 days. Children (of all ages) in the facility attend public school during their stay and participate in after-school activities in the Chapman Partnership resource center.
Little Chefs gives children the opportunity to learn about healthy eating in a fun, dynamic environment while gaining hands on experience preparing their own snacks. Children will also acquire a sense of responsibility as they prepare snacks for all of the children residing in the shelter. Each program will be broken up into age groups and age-appropriate snack options. Volunteers will assist with food prep, encouragement, and monitoring food prep throughout the activity, and are encourage to enjoy the snacks too!
